Colleen McKenzie, a courageous woman approaching her 50s, has been waging a relentless battle against stage 4 metastatic sarcoma bone cancer for several years. Her journey began with a tumor in her left leg, leading to aggressive chemotherapy and a complex leg reconstruction surgery. Despite these efforts, the cancer metastasized to her lungs, and she now faces additional tumors in her leg. Walking has become an arduous daily task, requiring the aid of a cane and walker. While a wheelchair might simplify her life, Colleen remains resolute, determined to make the most of the time she has left.
To manage her condition, Colleen relies on a chemotherapy pill. Everyday activities, such as taking a walk outside or going shopping, have become significant hurdles.
